WHAT PASTE IS BEST TO USE FOR DIFFERENT PAPER

 

 

Here are some ideas of the pastes you can buy. For the best advice ask at the shop when you buy the wallpaper and other things, they will tell you which is best to use. Wallpaper paste comes most times as flakes or powder unless you buy it as ready mixed.


ALL-PURPOSE PASTE
For lightweight and medium-weight wallpaper use this paste. If you use less water in the paste you can use it for heavyweight wallpaper. 

HEAVY-DUTY PASTE

This paste is mostly used for paper-backed fabrics and embossed papers. You can also use this for any other heavyweight paper you may get.

FUNGICIDAL PASTE

If you are hanging wallpapers like vinyl’s foamed-plastic coverings and washable papers, it is best to use this paste because it can prevent the development of mould. 

READY-MIXED PASTE

You can get tubs of paste already mixed these are better used for fabrics and heavy paper.

STAIN-FREE PASTE

This is best used with delicate paper that could get stain with all other pastes.

REPAIR ADHESIVE

This is best to use if you are sticking a border down and if you need to stick edges down and corners of wallpaper.
